Shane Buker

Shane is a drug discovery leader with over 15 years of experience working in the dynamic and agile environment of start-up biotech. He has successfully led teams working on multiple aspects of early-stage drug discovery, including target validation, hit identification and lead optimization. Before coming to Rgenta, Shane was Head of Lead Discovery at Accent Therapeutics, where his team identified and optimized inhibitors against novel oncology targets in the RNA space. After completing his PhD at Harvard Medical School, Shane was involved in the initial establishment of several series A and earlier-stage companies.
